Ackerman finished 4-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ackerman defeated Gray-Withers 6-5, then won 5-1 against Elysa Crough (Edmonton, AB). Ackerman went on to lose 8-7 against Deschenes. Ackerman responded with a 8-2 win over Stephanie Thompson (Regina, SK). Ackerman won 9-5 against Jessica Wytrychowski (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the U25 NextGen Classic, Ackerman take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize, moving up 30 spots the World Ranking Standings into 68th place overall with 30.113 total points. Ackerman ranks 25th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 13.750 points earned so far this season.
