Carter Bryant (Guelph , ON) finished 1-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bryant lost 1-0 to Al Hutchinson (Owen Sound, ON), then responded with a 1-0 win over Heather Heggestad (Stroud, ON). Bryant went on to lose 1-0 against Susan Froud (Alliston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Alliston Curling Club Cash Spiel Championship title, Bryant earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $1,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 9 of the event schedule, Bryant did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Bryant ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
