Yelizaveta Utochko/Dimitriy Garagul (Almaty, KAZ) lost 9-3 to Angelina Ebauyer/Adil Zhumagozha (Almaty, KAZ) in the Final of the 22nd Kazakhstan Cup WCT Mixed Doubles, held July 21 - 24, 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. To advance to the championship game, Utochko/Garagul won 6-4 over Regina Ebauyer/Muzdybay Kudaibergenov (Almaty, KAZ) in the semifinals of the 2022 22nd Kazakhstan Cup WCT Mixed Doubles in Almaty, Kazakhstan;
Utochko/Garagul finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Utochko/Garagul lost 7-5 to Merey Tastemir/Aidos Alliyar (Almaty, KAZ), then responded with a 9-1 win over Uzbekistan's Ondasyn Artikbaev/Tilsimay Alliyarova. Utochko/Garagul won 6-2 against Dilyar Ibragimov/Ayazhan Zhumabek (Almaty, KAZ), then won 10-6 against Yekaterina Kolykhalova/Arman Irjanov (Almaty, KAZ) and 7-6 against Gulkhan Sarbasbay/Ramazan Sakhiyev (Almaty, KAZ) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the 22nd Kazakhstan Cup WCT Mixed Doubles, Utochko/Garagul take home 16.500 world rankings points along with the $2,300CDN prize. For week 1 of the event schedule, Utochko/Garagul did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Utochko/Garagul ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
