Eunjung Kim (Gangneung , KOR) won 6-3 over Kerri Einarson (Gimli, MB) in the Final of the Karuizawa International, held December 16 - 18, 2022 in Karuizawa, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Kim won 7-5 over Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) in the semifinals

Kim finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Momoha Tabata (Sapporo, JPN) 5-3, then went on to lose 6-3 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Kim responded with a 10-4 win over Asuka Kanai (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Karuizawa International Championship title, Kim earned 33.750 world rankings points along with the $8,035CDN first prize cheque. Kim move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 26.25 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 9th overall with 205.284 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Kim ranks 20th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 103.375 points earned so far this season.
