To advance to the championship game, Jones/Laing won 8-6 over Emilie Desjardins/Robert Desjardins (Saguenay, QC) in the semifinals of the 2022 GOLDLINE Valleyfield Mixed Doubles in , Quebec; and won 12-1 over Audrey Laplante/Jasmin Gibeau (Thurso, MTL) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 GOLDLINE Valleyfield Mixed Doubles in , Quebec;
Jones/Laing finished 3-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones/Laing defeated Aline Fellmann/Chris Kovalchuk (Montreal, QC) 11-2, then won 13-1 against Genevieve Frappier/Michel Briand (Montreal, QC) and 11-2 against Amelie Maheux/David Maheux (Longueuil, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the GOLDLINE Valleyfield Mixed Doubles Championship title, Jones/Laing earned 33.750 world rankings points along with the $845CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 548th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 12.75 after improving upon their best so far this season.
