To advance to the championship game, Ferris won 8-2 over Mike McEwen (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2022 Stu Sells Brantford NISSAN Classic in Brantford, Ontario, Canada; and won 6-5 over Owen Purcell (Halifax, NS) in the quarterfinals.
 
Ferris finished 5-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ferris defeated Brandon Tippin (Bala, ON) 8-0, then went on to lose 9-5 against Dayna Deruelle (Harriston, ON). Ferris responded with a 7-2 win over Sam Steep (KW, ON). Ferris won 5-4 against Jason Camm (Navan, ON). Ferris went on to lose 4-3 against McEwen. Ferris responded with a 9-0 win over Jordan Chandler (Little Current, NONT). Ferris won 9-3 against Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Stu Sells Brantford NISSAN Classic Championship title, Ferris earned 33.750 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque. Ferris move up 13 spots after posting a net gain of 23.125 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 29th overall with 108.905 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Ferris ranks 21st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 85.500 points earned so far this season.
