Sturmay finished 3-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Warren Kozak (Calgary, AB) 8-2, then won 7-6 against Warren Cross (Edmonton, AB) and 8-3 against Parent in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the McKee Homes Fall Curling Classic Championship title, Sturmay earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $3,200CDN first prize cheque.
