To advance to the championship game, Granbom won 9-2 over Eirik Oey (Oppdal, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2022 Sundbyberg Open in Sundbyberg, Sweden; and won 5-4 over Axel Landelius (MjÃ¶lby, SWE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Sundbyberg Open in Sundbyberg, Sweden;

Granbom finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Granbom defeated Axel Rosander (Norrkoping, SWE) 7-6, then went on to lose 8-4 against Landelius. Granbom responded with a 7-2 win over Mats Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Sundbyberg Open, Granbom take home 8.250 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN prize.
