Matt Dupuis (Cornwall, ON) finished 1-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dupuis lost 7-3 to Ted Butler (Buckingham, QC), droppimg another game, 7-2 to Sierra Sutherland (Ottawa, ON) where Dupuis responded with a 6-0 win over John Steski (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

The berth into the first round of the Capital Curling Rideau Open playoffs earned Dupuis 0.750 world rankings points. For week 16 of the event schedule, Dupuis did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Dupuis ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
