In their opening game, Veltsman lost 4-2 to Kristof Czermann (Budapest, HUN), droppimg another game, 7-6 to Sergio Vez (San Sebastian, ESP) where Veltsman responded with a 5-4 win over Karel Hradec (Prague, CZE). Veltsman went on to lose 5-4 against Rob Retchless (Preston, ENG). Veltsman lost 9-3 to Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Veltsman earned 1.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 15 of the event schedule, Veltsman did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Veltsman ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
