Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED) run at the 2023 St. Galler Elite Challenge came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-7 loss to Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO). of the 2023 St. Galler Elite Challenge in St. Gallen, Switzerland; Gosgens advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-2 win over Kim Schwaller (Zug, SUI).

Gosgens finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gosgens defeated Ross Craik (Stirling, SCO) 6-4, then won 7-3 against Sixten Totzek (Baden Baden, GER) and 8-3 against Schwaller. Gosgens won 6-4 against Fredrik Nyman (Solleftea, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Gosgens earned 14.875 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the St. Galler Elite Challenge. For week 25 of the event schedule, Gosgens did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 15th place on the World Ranking Standings with 168.740 total points. Gosgens ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 147.625 points earned so far this season.
