Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED) finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gosgens defeated Manuel Jermann (Arlesheim, SUI) 12-2, then won 6-5 against Switzerland's Jan Iseli and 7-0 against Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Grand Prix Bern Inter Curling Challenge, Gosgens take home 27.500 world rankings points along with the $4,779CDN prize, remaining in 22nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 8.25 after improving upon their best so far this season. Gosgens ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 89.375 points earned so far this season.
