Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) lost 7-2 to Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the Final of the ADVICS Cup, held September 8 - 11, 2022 in Hokkaido, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Yoshimura won 7-1 over Miori Nakamura (Aomori, JPN) in the semifinals

Yoshimura finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yoshimura defeated Japan's Momono Shirahata 7-1, then won 8-1 against Sae Yamamoto (Sapporo, JPN) and 5-3 against Asuka Kanai (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the ADVICS Cup, Yoshimura take home 16.500 world rankings points along with the $4,550CDN prize. For week 6 of the event schedule, Yoshimura did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 30th to 31st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 76.009 total points. Yoshimura ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 37.500 points earned so far this season.
