In their opening game, Minami lost 6-3 to Honoka Sasaki (Kitami, JPN), then responded with a 6-5 win over Sae Yamamoto (Sapporo, JPN). Minami went on to lose 7-4 against Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
