Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) lost 7-2 to ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR) in the Final of the Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic, held August 4 - 7, 2022 at the Hokkaido Bank Curling Stadium in Sapporo, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Morozumi won 10-1 over Hayato Sato (Sapporo, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2022 Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic in Sapporo, Japan;
 
Morozumi finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morozumi defeated Shinya Abe (Sapporo, JPN) 5-2, then won 7-3 against Kohsuke Hirata (Kitami, JPN). Morozumi went on to lose 5-4 against Jeong in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic, Morozumi take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $4,749CDN prize.
