Martin/Griffith finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martin/Griffith defeated Ashley Thevenot/Dustin Kalthoff (Saskatoon, SK) 8-6, then won 7-3 against Emilie Desjardins/Robert Desjardins (Saguenay, QC) and 9-4 against Walker/Muyres. Martin/Griffith won 8-5 against Adela Walczak/Andrzej Augustyniak (Lodz, POL) in their final qualifying round match.
