Schwaller finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schwaller lost 7-1 to Ferris, then responded with a 5-1 win over Brandon Tippin (Bala, ON). Schwaller won 7-2 against Cory Heggestad (Stroud, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel Championship title, Schwaller earned 30.000 world rankings points along with the $3,800CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 10th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 0.25 after improving upon their best so far this season. Schwaller ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 112.500 points earned so far this season.
