In their opening game, Manuel defeated Robert Desjardins (Quebec, QC) 7-4, then went on to lose 6-5 against Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NONT). Manuel lost 5-3 to Trent Skanes (St. John's, NL) where Manuel responded with a 7-6 win over Steven Munroe (Saquenay, QC). Manuel went on to lose 7-4 against Paul Flemming (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Manuel earned 2.625 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 17 of the event schedule, Manuel did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Manuel ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
