Yannick Schwaller (Geneva, SUI) lost 5-4 to Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) in the Final of the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, held November 19 - 26, 2022 in Ostersund, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Schwaller won 6-3 over Oskar Eriksson (Karlstad, SWE) in the semifinals
 
Schwaller finished 8-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schwaller defeated Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) 7-3, then won 7-3 against Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR) and 11-3 against Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR). Schwaller won 7-6 against Eriksson, then won 5-3 against Mikkel Krause (Hvidovre, DEN). Schwaller went on to lose 8-7 against Joel Retornaz (Trento, ITA). Schwaller responded with a 6-3 win over Sergio Vez (San Sebastian, ESP). Schwaller won 7-2 against Mouat, then won 8-5 against Sixten Totzek (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, Schwaller take home 44.000 world rankings points.
