To advance to the championship game, Kitazawa won 8-5 over Kim Rhyme (St. Paul, MN) in the semifinals

Kitazawa finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kitazawa defeated Claire Booth (Sherwood Park, AB) 11-0, then won 7-4 against Kaufman and 7-1 against Adele Purcell (St Albert, AB). Kitazawa won 8-2 against Michelle Hartwell (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Curling Stadium Alberta Curling Series #4, Kitazawa take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $1,650CDN prize.
