To advance to the championship game, Schwaller won 5-4 over John Epping (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2022 Curling Stadium Alberta Curling Series Major in Leduc, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-2 over Aaron Sluchinski (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Curling Stadium Alberta Curling Series Major in Leduc, Alberta, Canada;
Schwaller finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schwaller defeated Cole Adams (Calgary, AB) 8-2, then went on to lose 4-2 against Sluchinski. Schwaller responded with a 6-0 win over Mike McEwen (Toronto, ON). Schwaller won 7-2 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB), then won 7-4 against Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Curling Stadium Alberta Curling Series Major Championship title, Schwaller earned 48.750 world rankings points along with the $8,500CDN first prize cheque. Schwaller move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 19 points improving upon their best 2 results so far this season, ranking 9th overall with 188.293 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
