To advance to the championship game, Sturmay won 4-2 over Jacob Libbus (Okotoks, AB) in the semifinals
 
Sturmay finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Cole Adams (Calgary, AB) 6-1, then won 5-3 against Ryan Parent (Calgary, AB) and 6-5 against Kyler Kleibrink (Calgary, AB). Sturmay won 6-2 against Guy Algot (Sherwood Park, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Curling Stadium Alberta Curling Series #1, Sturmay take home 16.500 world rankings points along with the $1,750CDN prize, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 22nd place overall with 107.994 total points. Sturmay ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.500 points earned so far this season.
