To advance to the championship game, Sluchinski won 6-1 over Scott Webb (Grande Prairie, AB) in the semifinals of the 2022 Curling Stadium Alberta Curling Series #1 in Leduc, Alberta, Canada;
 
Sluchinski finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sluchinski defeated Warren Cross (Edmonton, AB) 5-4, then went on to lose 6-3 against Webb. Sluchinski responded with a 5-1 win over John Epping (Toronto, ON). Sluchinski won 6-5 against Jacob Libbus (Okotoks, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Curling Stadium Alberta Curling Series #1 Championship title, Sluchinski earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $2,650CDN first prize cheque, moving up 26 spots the World Ranking Standings into 34th place overall with 67.250 total points. Sluchinski ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 22.500 points earned so far this season.
