In their opening game, Japan's Yuri Muramatsu lost 11-4 to Switzerland's Beatrix Blauel, droppimg another game, 8-4 to Meggan Dawson-Farrell (Stirling, SCO) where Japan's Yuri Muramatsu responded with a 8-6 win over Sweden's Sabina Johansson. Japan's Yuri Muramatsu went on to lose 10-4 against Rita Sarai (Budapest, HUN). Japan's Yuri Muramatsu responded with a 9-2 win over Signe Falkenberg (Tallinn, EST). Japan's Yuri Muramatsu went on to lose 9-7 against Sari Karjarlainen (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Japan's Yuri Muramatsu responded with a 7-6 win over Orietta Berto (Trentino, ITA). Japan's Yuri Muramatsu went on to lose 7-2 against Korea's Heekyeong Yun in their final qualifying round match.
