Caro van Oosterwyck (Zemst, BEL) won 9-6 over Lydia Valles (San-Sebastian, ESP) in the Final of the European Curling Championships C-Division, held April 30 - May 5, 2022 in Kaunas, Lithuania. To advance to the championship game, van Oosterwyck won 11-8 over Ireland's Ailsa Anderson in the semifinals
van Oosterwyck finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, van Oosterwyck lost 8-4 to Miia Ahrenberg (Hyvinkaa, FIN), then responded with a 8-4 win over Valles. van Oosterwyck went on to lose 9-5 against Anastasia Kotova (Kyiv, UKR). van Oosterwyck responded with a 8-7 win over Ireland's Ailsa Anderson. van Oosterwyck won 6-4 against Laura Beever (Queensferry, WAL), then won 9-4 against Allison Brageul (Lyon, FRA). van Oosterwyck went on to lose 3-2 against Iva Penava (Zagreb, CRO) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the European Curling Championships C-Division Championship title, van Oosterwyck earned 6.750 world rankings points. For week 41 of the event schedule, van Oosterwyck did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. van Oosterwyck ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
