Tabitha Peterson (Chaska, MN) won 5-3 over Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay , NONT) in the Final of the Curl Mesabi Classic, held December 16 - 18, 2022 at the Curl Mesabi in Eveleth, United States. To advance to the championship game, Peterson won 7-6 over Sarah Anderson (Chaska, MN) in the semifinals of the 2022 Curl Mesabi Classic in Eveleth, Minnesota, United States; and won 9-2 over Gayeong Shin (Jeonbuk, KOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Curl Mesabi Classic in Eveleth, Minnesota, United States;

Peterson finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterson defeated Rachel Workin (Fargo, ND) 5-4, then won 10-0 against Kaye Bassett (Fairbanks, AK) and 7-1 against Christine McMakin (Fargo, ND). Peterson won 8-4 against Allory Johnson (Blaine, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Curl Mesabi Classic Championship title, Peterson earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $8,160CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 11th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 15 after improving upon their best so far this season. Peterson ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 125.500 points earned so far this season.
