Brent Gedak (Estevan, SK) finished 2-2 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gedak lost 8-7 to Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK), then responded with a 8-0 win over Garret Fedak (Foam Lake, SK). Gedak won 7-6 against Ben Gamble (Regina, SK). Gedak went on to lose 8-1 against Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Gedak earned 1.875 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 19 of the event schedule, Gedak did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gedak ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
