Elaine Hughes/Etta Reid (Cornwall, PEI) lost 5-4 to Betty Mattson/Audrey Dorey (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Canadian Stick Curling Championship - Women, held April 22 - 24, 2022 in Moncton, New Brunswick. To advance to the championship game, Hughes/Reid won 9-2 over Brenda Eger/Barb Palmer (St. Albert, AB) in the semifinals
 
Hughes/Reid finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hughes/Reid defeated Mattson/Dorey 7-1, then won 5-4 against Gwen Smith/Lynne Rehbein (Winnipeg, MB) and 6-3 against Audrey Callaghan/Ruth Stavert (Cornwall, PEI). Hughes/Reid won 4-3 against Sharon Sears/Carol Heinrichs (Armstrong, BC). Hughes/Reid went on to lose 6-4 against Margaret Campbell/Tammy Hughes (Kelowna, BC). Hughes/Reid responded with a 6-4 win over Eger/Palmer. Hughes/Reid won 6-3 against Wendy Frazier/Fran Purvis (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
