Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) run at the 2022 SGI Canada Best of the West came to an end in the semifinals with a 5-3 loss to Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK).

Sturmay finished 2-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB) 7-4, then went on to lose 6-2 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC).
