Brent Pierce (Kelowna, BC) lost 6-2 to Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN) in the Final of the King Cash Spiel, held December 2 - 4, 2022 at the Golden Ears Curling Club in Maple Ridge, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Pierce won 6-5 over Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2022 King Cash Spiel in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada; and won 6-1 over Sebastien Robillard (Port Coquitlam, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 King Cash Spiel in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada;

Pierce finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pierce defeated Matthew McCrady (New Westminster , BC) 6-0, then won 6-3 against Cody Tanaka (New Westminster, BC) and 5-2 against Chris Gomes (Maple Ridge, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the King Cash Spiel, Pierce take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $2,400CDN prize. For week 18 of the event schedule, Pierce did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Pierce ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
