Mike McEwen (Toronto, ON) qualified for the 2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Aaron Sluchinski (Calgary, AB). of the 2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Grande Prairie, Alberta;

McEwen finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEwen defeated Jacques Gauthier (Victoria, BC) 5-4, then went on to lose 6-4 against Sluchinski. McEwen responded with a 5-2 win over John Shuster (Duluth, MN). McEwen went on to lose 7-2 against Lukas Hostmaelingen (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

McEwen earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2. McEwen move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 10.125 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 17th overall with 146.490 total points on the World Ranking Standings. McEwen ranks 26th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 46.875 points earned so far this season.
