To advance to the championship game, Edin won 6-5 over Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in the semifinals of the 2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Grande Prairie, Alberta; and won 5-3 over Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Grande Prairie, Alberta;
Edin finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) 8-3, then won 7-3 against Colton Flasch (Saskatoon , SK) and 3-1 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB). Edin won 7-3 against Brendan Bottcher (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 Championship title, Edin earned 67.500 world rankings points along with the $30,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 30 after improving upon their best so far this season. Edin ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 163.750 points earned so far this season.
