To advance to the championship game, Dunstone won 7-2 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Grande Prairie, Alberta; and won 8-3 over Yannick Schwaller (Geneva, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Grande Prairie, Alberta;
Dunstone finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) 8-6, then won 9-5 against Michael Brunner (Bern, SUI). Dunstone went on to lose 5-3 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO). Dunstone responded with a 6-5 win over Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1, Dunstone take home 49.500 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN prize, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 22 after improving upon their best so far this season. Dunstone ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 121.750 points earned so far this season.
