Vestman/Ahlberg finished 5-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Vestman/Ahlberg defeated Lea Hueppi/Jonas Weiss (Kusnacht, SUI) 8-1, then won 7-3 against Emma Sjodin/Johannes Patz (Karlstad, SWE) and 9-3 against Adela Walczak/Andrzej Augustyniak (Lodz, POL). Vestman/Ahlberg won 8-5 against Eirin Mesloe/Willhelm Naess (Lillehammer, NOR), then won 9-4 against Tova Noreen/Per Noreen (Gavle, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Gefle Mixed Doubles Cup, Vestman/Ahlberg take home 13.731 world rankings points along with the $980CDN prize, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 13.732 after improving upon their best so far this season.
