O'Leary won 5-3 against Glen Hudy (Yellowknife, NT), then won 7-1 against Peter Mackey (Iqaluit, NU) and 8-2 against Terry Miller (Whitehorse, YK). O'Leary went on to lose 9-3 against Phil Gorveatt (Montague, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.
