Fournier finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fournier defeated Zackary Wise (Montreal , QC) 7-1, then won 6-1 against Robin Duguay (Thurso, QC) and 6-5 against Guy Hemmings (Aurele-Racine, QC). Fournier went on to lose 6-3 against Martel in their final qualifying round match.
