To advance to the championship game, Runciman won 7-4 over Lowell Whittmire (Lethbridge, AB) in the semifinals of the 2021 Okotoks U20 Bonspiel in Okotoks, Alberta;
 
Runciman finished 2-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Runciman defeated Ben Kiist (Calgary, AB) 7-3, then went on to lose 8-3 against Ballance. Runciman responded with a 6-4 win over Blake Petkau (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Runciman ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
