Riku Yanagisawa (karuizawa, JPN) won 8-6 over Minato Hayamizu (Karuizawa, JPN) in the Final Yanagisawa advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Chubu Curling Championships, held April 21 - 24, 2022 in Chubu, Japan.

Yanagisawa finished 5-0 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yanagisawa defeated Kazuya Uehara (Karuizawa, JPN) 7-4, then won 7-6 against Hayamizu and 13-3 against Hitoshi Ishihara (Karuizawa, JPN). Yanagisawa won 7-5 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN), then won 10-3 against Hirotaka Ishikuro (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Chubu Curling Championships Championship title, Yanagisawa earned 3.938 world rankings points, moving up 129 spots the World Ranking Standings into 249th place overall with 4.686 total points. Yanagisawa ranks 249th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.686 points earned so far this season.
