Japan's Juon Ishimura won 9-3 over Japan's Tsuyoshi Sukekawa in the Final of the Tohuku Curling Championships, held January 8 - 10, 2022 in Tohoku, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Japan's Juon Ishimura won 13-3 over Japan's Minori Suzuki in the semifinals of the 2022 Tohuku Curling Championships in Tohoku, Japan;
Japan's Juon Ishimura finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Japan's Juon Ishimura defeated Japan's Toshiaki Takahashi 13-1, then won 9-1 against Japan's Yuuji Nakata and 12-3 against Japan's Yasuhiro Sano. Japan's Juon Ishimura went on to lose 5-3 against Japan's Tsuyoshi Sukekawa in their final qualifying round match.
