Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR) won 4-3 over Sergei Glukhov (Moscow, RUS) in the Final of the Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships, held November 20 - 27, 2021 in Lillehammer, Norway. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Karagoz won 7-5 over Sergio Vez (Vitoria-Gasteiz, ESP) to advance to the championship game. of the 2022 Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships in Lillehammer, Norway;
Karagoz finished 6-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Karagoz defeated Reto Seiler (Sofia, BUL) 11-1, then went on to lose 7-6 against Andrew Woolston (Kent, ENG). Karagoz responded with a 10-7 win over James Pougher (Deeside, WAL). Karagoz won 8-3 against Eddy Mercier (Lyon, FRA), then won 10-2 against Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) and 5-3 against Slovenia's Jure Culic. Karagoz won 8-3 against Slovakia's Pavol Pitonak in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships Championship title, Karagoz earned 26.719 world rankings points, moving up 79 spots the World Ranking Standings into 102nd place overall with 39.488 total points. Karagoz ranks 64th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 34.144 points earned so far this season.
