Ginter finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ginter lost 1-0 to Cortland Sonnenberg (Grande Prairie, AB), then responded with a 1-0 win over Scott Webb (Grande Prairie, AB). Ginter won 1-0 against Hansen in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Grande Prairie Cash Spiel Championship title, Ginter earned 7.123 world rankings points along with the $2,200CDN first prize cheque, moving up 40 spots the World Ranking Standings into 166th place overall with 14.112 total points. Ginter ranks 139th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.123 points earned so far this season.
