To advance to the championship game, Hansen won 1-0 over Darrel Veiner (Grande Prairie, AB) in the semifinals of the 2021 Grande Prairie Cash Spiel in Grande Prairie, Alberta;

Hansen finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hansen defeated Scott Webb (Grande Prairie, AB) 1-0, then won 1-0 against Cortland Sonnenberg (Grande Prairie, AB). Hansen went on to lose 1-0 against Ginter in their final qualifying round match.
