9-5 to Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA), then responded with a 7-4 win over Rich Ruohonen (Minneapolis, MN). Dropkin won 9-7 against Greg Persinger (Fairbanks, AK), then won 6-5 against Jed Brundidge (East St. Paul, MN). Dropkin went on to lose 8-7 against John Shuster (Chaska, MN). Dropkin lost 11-8 to Ruohonen where Dropkin responded with a 8-2 win over Persinger. Dropkin won 7-2 against Brundidge, then won 6-1 against Shuster and 6-3 against Dunnam in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the US Olympic Team Trials: Curling, Dropkin take home 19.594 world rankings points, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 19th place overall with 163.458 total points. Dropkin ranks 32nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 55.738 points earned so far this season.
