In their opening game, Persinger/Plys defeated Sarah Anderson/Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN) 9-4, then won 9-2 against Jenna Burchesky/Ben Richardson (Chaska, MN) and 7-6 against Sinclair/Ruohonen. Persinger/Plys went on to lose 9-4 against Tabitha Peterson/Joe Polo (Chaska, MN). Persinger/Plys responded with a 7-6 win over Becca Hamilton/Matt Hamilton (Madison, WI). Persinger/Plys went on to lose 8-6 against Cory Christensen/John Shuster (Duluth, MN). Persinger/Plys responded with a 8-7 win over Aileen Geving/Luc Violette (Duluth, MN). Persinger/Plys won 6-5 against Monica Walker/Alex Leichter (Boston, MA). Persinger/Plys went on to lose 8-6 against Madison Bear/Andrew Stopera (Chaska, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the US Olympic Team Trials: Curling Mixed Doubles Championship title, Persinger/Plys earned 49.433 world rankings points, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 49.432 after improving upon their best so far this season. Persinger/Plys ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 49.432 points earned so far this season.
