To advance to the championship game, Kitz/Stewart won 7-5 over Holly Hafeli/Mitchell Kopytko (Vernon, BC) in the semifinals of the 2021 Nufloors Vernon MD Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia; and won 6-4 over Karly King-Simpson/Connar Croteau (Victoria/Campbell River, BC) in the quarterfinals.
 
Kitz/Stewart finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kitz/Stewart defeated British Columbia's Rhonda Wynn/Ron Russell 9-1, then won 8-3 against British Columbia's Mikayla Czirfusz/Andrew Nerpin and 7-1 against British Columbia's Brette Richards/Mark Taylor in their final qualifying round match.
