In their opening game, Walker/Leichter defeated Kim Rhyme/Jason Smith (St. Paul, MN) 8-7, then went on to lose 6-5 against Tara Peterson/Kroy Nernberger (Chaska, MN). Walker/Leichter responded with a 8-4 win over Emily Schweitzer/Blake Hagberg (Saint Paul, MN). Walker/Leichter went on to lose 7-6 against Sinclair/Ruohonen. Walker/Leichter responded with a 7-4 win over Rhyme/Smith in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the USA Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier Championship title, Walker/Leichter earned 17.254 world rankings points, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 47.776 total points.
