To advance to the championship game, Walker/Leichter won 6-5 over Christine McMakin/Riley Fenson (Bemidji, MN) in the semifinals of the 2021 USA Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier in Blaine, Minnesota, United States;

Walker/Leichter finished 3-2 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walker/Leichter defeated Kim Rhyme/Jason Smith (St. Paul, MN) 8-7, then went on to lose 6-5 against Tara Peterson/Kroy Nernberger (Chaska, MN). Walker/Leichter responded with a 8-4 win over Emily Schweitzer/Blake Hagberg (Saint Paul, MN). Walker/Leichter went on to lose 7-6 against Sinclair/Ruohonen. Walker/Leichter responded with a 7-4 win over Rhyme/Smith in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the USA Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier Championship title, Walker/Leichter earned 17.254 world rankings points, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 47.776 total points. Walker/Leichter ranks 23rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 17.254 points earned so far this season.
