Matsumura lost 8-2 to Kalle Kiiskinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in their final qualifying round match.

Matsumura earned 8.016 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 21 of the event schedule, Matsumura did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 16th to 19th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 185.427 total points. Matsumura ranks 25th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 83.947 points earned so far this season.
