Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) finished 1-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wiebe lost 9-6 to Vincent Roberge (Quebec, QC), droppimg another game, 8-6 to Jacques Gauthier (Winnipeg, MB) where Wiebe responded with a 9-5 win over William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB). Wiebe went on to lose 7-6 against Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Wiebe earned 0.900 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 9 of the event schedule, Wiebe did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Wiebe ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
