Kerry Galusha (Yellowknife, NT) finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Galusha defeated Sarah Wark (Abbotsford, BC) 10-4, then won 9-4 against Ashley Howard (Saskatoon, SK) and 6-5 against Jessie Hunkin (North Battleford, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Canadian Curling PRE-Trials Direct-Entry Event Championship title, Galusha earned 18.000 world rankings points. For week 9 of the event schedule, Galusha did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 22nd to 23rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 95.509 total points. Galusha ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 55.515 points earned so far this season.
