Daniela Rupp/Kevin Wunderlin (Zug, SUI) won 9-6 over Stefania Constantini/Amos Mosaner (Trentino, ITA) in the Final of the Stadler European Mixed Doubles Invitational, held September 10 - 12, 2021 in Biel, Switzerland. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Rupp/Wunderlin won 8-2 over Jenny Perret/Martin Rios (Glarus, SUI) to advance to the championship game. of the 2021 Stadler European Mixed Doubles Invitational in Biel, Switzerland;
Rupp/Wunderlin finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rupp/Wunderlin defeated Zuzana Paulova/Tomas Paul (Prague, CZE) 6-5, then won 10-4 against Kristin Moen Skaslien/Magnus Nedregotten (Oslo, NOR) and 9-8 against Marie Kaldvee/Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST). Rupp/Wunderlin went on to lose 8-1 against Pia-Lisa Schoell/Klaudius Harsch (Oberstdorf, GER). Rupp/Wunderlin responded with a 7-3 win over Ildiko Szekeres/Gyorgy Nagy (Budapest, HUN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Stadler European Mixed Doubles Invitational Championship title, Rupp/Wunderlin earned 54.607 world rankings points along with the $2,893CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 54.606 after improving upon their best so far this season. Rupp/Wunderlin ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 54.606 points earned so far this season.
